Art

Pressed flowers, old lace, well worn recipes, antique keys, faded photos, broken seashells, bones and feathers. These are just some of the materials you will find in Audra’s mixed media art. At Bone and Feather Studio there is a sort of alchemy at work, a finding of what is sacred in the overlooked, discarded and forgotten. Audra believes these found objects have their own beauty and story to tell. The story isn’t always one of perfection but, instead, one of complexity and mystery, much like our own lives. Her creativity inspires others to look at everyday objects with new eyes. Her work is an organic and beautiful reminder of the magic and love in the universe.

Testimonials

"Audra’s mixed media encaustic pieces that I purchased for graduation gifts were received with lavish praise and misty eyes. Each gift, all so incredibly soulful and each one so special. If you’re looking for meaningful gifts, look no further."

"I've collected Audra's artwork for several years now. I consider each one an heirloom piece and imagine them hanging in all the different homes of our family as they are passed down for many generations. It warms my heart to know that beauty and love will hang in their homes one day. Audra's work is more than a piece of art. It is full of heart and all the small wonders of this world."

"I commissioned a work because I wanted a photo of my grandmother as a young woman, her hand-written chocolate pie recipe, her favorite flower, Queens Anne's Lace, all preserved on a copy of her favorite book. She listened to everything I envisioned and made it into a reality. She was open to communicating through the entire process to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Every day I see it hanging in my kitchen, and I am reminded of my beautiful grandmother and her amazing love. It is a true gift."
